Share 'Blinkies in dreads?'

I just got new dreads (woohoo) and had a crazy idea of lights in my hair.... I've tought about this before and even put el wire throughout my hair with the driver hidden in my bra. Any ideas on how to use any kind of blinkies in my hair or in dreads so it looks like it blinks on it's own? Like some kind of small driver pack or.... Clips are ok but they break easily.
