Oh my gosh, Cal. My heart goes out to you, Blue and Amber. I will be sending love to all four of you. Your house is very full right now with souls coming and going. I know the day to day of canine geriatric care. Jackie's last year was tough for us all. And, yes, the gift of each moment. In the midst of the random poop and pee, despite the aching heart, being so grateful to have them. They are certainly fortunate to have found you and I know that they know it.

II still drop by. I've got 2 geriatrics in frail care - trying to prepare to say goodbye to them. Blue has congestive heart failre & Amber has liver disease. Nothing much can be done except to keep them comfortable and thank them for being such stalwart companions the last 9-10 years. I have a new boy - Jules - a 10 month old Boerboel the size of a small horse who had a sad past and a no future. I was going to get a small cute schauzer puppy to join the family but along came Jules instead. Wishing you happy days with Albie!

If anyone drops by here anymore, just wanted to say hello and that I'm still so grateful for the kind support everyone offered after our Jackie the poodle left her body in December. I posted pics of our new fur angel on my page. Hope all the four leggeds in your lives are thriving.

Thanks. That's a big, face-stretching grin and chuckle photo. What a great demonstration of how to really let it all go. Sarah sticks her tongue out like that when she's really relaxed and I'm always charmed by it.

My friend Sarah. I think she sets the cute meter on way way high. She was a rescue from a pet store in Southern California. She was very sick. It took about a year to get her healthy. Now she has endless energy and a very happy life.
