and it says it will be back up at 5:15 PM.
It is now 6:05 PM and no tribe.
So, where's all the refugees at?
Don't tell me I'm in the wrong camp! How will I survive?
AAHHHHHHHHH
I can sign on but can't do anything once I am on. Can't access any tribes. Can't even check to see who posted on my blog. Totally worthless. I want my money back.

So here are a couple interesting things from that FB link that wildapache posted:
(Sorry Cornflower, hope that this doesn't freak you out tooo badly...)
To be honest, it's been just me for a year and a half. This weekend made me realize how burned out I am. The site is not a charity either -- the subscription model we are slowly moving to has kept tribe.net making money (although not a spectacular profit) for the past 9 months. The ads are still the majority of our revenue, but if not for subscriptions tribe.net would have gone offline in February 2008. The subscriptions were actually at the prompting of tribe.net users, championed and implemented by me. We have $10,000 in savings now, which is going towards replacing the 3+year old servers that tribe.net is running on. We are replacing 15 machines with 4 machines, trading in or selling off equipment, and reducing our colo overhead from a full cage to a single cabinet.
I'm actually ready to quit tribe.net as a job, but don't worry -- I'm goign to make sure it's a lot easier for my replacement to admin, although I doubt they'll be able to find anyone as crazy as me.

From a different thread asking why tribe is so janky (word I learned on tribe :) while others aren't. $25K a mo ain't nothin'

The reason MySpace, Facebook, and LJ don't have any issues is that they have users in the millions -- over 50 million for Facebook, over 100 million for MySpace. Tribe.net has about 750,000 users, with about 120,000 a day hitting the site. Our ad revenue plus subscriptions comes to about $25k a month. this is enough to pay me, the colo facility, and to finish paying off the debt that the previous CEO got the company into.
