and it says it will be back up at 5:15 PM.
It is now 6:05 PM and no tribe.
So, where's all the refugees at?
Don't tell me I'm in the wrong camp! How will I survive?
AAHHHHHHHHH
It's typical of Darren to not get things done when promissed. I've yet to see him do anything by the time he said it would be done.
But to say that tribe.net doesn't exist? Sure, it still exists, it's just not online, and it's not back online when Darren promissed it would be. That's not necessarily cause for alarm. That's just Darren.
wildA, I didn't really think what I read on Wikipedia was true, I just found it odd. I've never before consciously seen something on Wikipedia that I immediately doubted.
I knew Darren would be working on the site. In fact, I knew it because of a posting you made. And I really didn't expect such a major update to be finished by the stated completion time (still don't, in fact), because I know that such work often takes longer than estimated, and I know that--for some reason--there is a long history of unreliable estimated completion times for work on the tribe site.
No bigee. It will be done when it is done. (Doris Day song here...)
My posting here was an experiment to see if there was much activity on this site, since I hadn't visited in a while and didn't see very many recent postings when I looked in the Forums.
You'll get that around the same time you get your tee shirt, your refund, your upgraded service, or any other thing tribe.net has ever promised.
The dude could learn a few basics about being a professional. One of the basics is controlling the expectations of clients. You do that by not overpromising. Don't promise things you can't deliver.
My parents did actual needlepoint together -- my father did the designs and my mother, because of her excellent tension, did background. They had a number of friends, including other couples, that did this kind of stitching.
Anyway, both types of handwork involve patience. We in this country are not known for our patience, but it is a good thing to practice in its own right.
